Public Works Heaven

What has always made the state a hell on earth has been precisely that man has tried to make it his heaven.
F Hoelderlin.

So, we have our answer to the problems of our economy. Public works heaven. Hello FDR. The New Deal all over again. From Business Week Online come the details: "President-elect Barack Obama on Saturday outlined his plan to create 2.5 million jobs in coming years to rebuild roads and bridges and modernize schools while developing alternative energy sources and more efficient cars." My question to all of you LL's is where is he going to get the money? I'll leave you with this thought for a bit. Think about it LL's

Let em' do it

I'm so happy Ole B.O. (Barrack Obama) won the election! Conservatives have been beating their heads against the wall to stop him from getting into office. I say 'get out of the way and let em' do it'

Two generations have passed since Ronald Reagan was in office. We've forgotten how good we really had it. I really miss him. Really.. no kidding! He is the best president we've had this century. Yea, I know some of you are pounding your computers saying "NO, FDR WAS THE GREATEST! No, FDR rebuilt our country with borrowed money that has NEVER been paid back. Reagan did it by giving our tax money back. He breathed new life into our "Stagflation" country .Reagan spawned a tremendous fiscal revolution the carried Bush 1 into office and helped slick Willy hold the country together for two terms.

I assume you all know the Dow took a another 411 point drop today. Our country is spiraling into a depression. Companies are going out of business at record rates. About 20% of American mortgage borrowers are upside-down, meaning they owe more than their homes are now valued. Unemployment is at 6.5% a fourteen year high!

Like FDR, Ole' B. O. s new jobs plan is the usual tax and spend. I alluded to it in my last column. He wants to save the country. The irony is we're asking the same party who put us in this situation to fix it. That's the same as making a alcoholic a bartender!
Our new bartender Ole' B.O., the power alcoholic, will be serving us potions to keep us drunk. Drunk and blissful for the next four years! LL's are dancing in the streets! Wait till the honeymoon is over and Ole' B.O. has to govern. I give him till July for his ratings to take a nose dive. The drunks will wake up in a hangover and say "My God, what have we done?"

It makes me ill to compare Ole' B.O. with Ronald Reagan.....

The Begining of the Road to Freedom

It is seldom that liberty of any kind is lost all at once - David Hume

Dr. Hayek wrote this book in 1944 while teaching at the University of London. He was struck by England's and most of Europe's Intelligentsia views about the rise of Hitler and Nazism in Germany from 1932 to 1944. His book documented the true nature of Socialism and it's rise in Western Civilization. He postulated the future decline of freedom and liberty if actions were not taken to prevent Socialism's rise.

His warning were justified. Anyone who has watched the current rise of Lemming Liberalism and the culmination of our new socialist president should be worried. Not concerned, WORRIED! I don't hold Barry and his crew responsible. They espouse socialism with the help of the lemming liberal press. I hold the ignorant lemming liberals responsible. I use the word ignorant because Americans aren't stupid, their ignorant. And, what's most troubling is there is no urgency to learn the truth.

Well, this is where my Blog comes in. I will discuss my views of current political and economic issues through the eyes if Dr. Hayek. I won't temper my words or thoughts for LL's (from now on Liberal Lemmings will be called LL's). I don't believe in their politics. I'm going to talk about what I want to talk about. After all, it's my Blog. If you want to talk about your issues then start your own Blog. This Blog is for Conservative Republicans not just Republicans.

It would be helpful if you bought the book or got it from your local library. It is not easy reading. It is not written for LL's. It requires a great amount of thought and intelligence. It is worth every word. I've read it several times and I learn more each time. If you would like to learn more about Dr. Hayek I would suggest reading Wiki Pedia. They have a great definition and description.
